Tolbunt Polish Tolbunt Polish are relatively new on the scene of the poultry world. While Polish chickens are a very old breed, the Tolbunt coloring was not created until the latter part of the 20th century. The Tolbunt coloring is a mixture of white, brown, and black. The combination of these colors in the Tolbunt pattern are sure to grab your attention. Tolbunt Polish come in two varieties smooth and frizzle. Our flock consists of both varieties, therefore any eggs or chicks will have a chance of being smooth or fizzle.
Because so few lines of these birds have been brought into the United States, they are a little more genetically weak that some other more well established polish breeds. Holly Berry Husbandry has been working to produce a stronger line of these birds. In order to strengthen the genetics of our Tolbunts, some of the birds in our breeding pen are 1/8 to 1/4 black-crested black polish and can sometimes have slightly more black. You will likely have a more healthy bird but please take note of this when purchasing.
